Brown Cargo Van has been our primary supplier of van bodies for medium duty trucks for the past 14 years in the Kansas City market, ever since Kenworth made the decision to build the T300 Kenworth as a medium duty truck. We are proud to say that the people that work and sell for Brown Cargo Van have a very supportive attitude, and they always do what they say they will do. The freight to take a cab and chassis to and from their manufacturing facility has been a great benefit to MHC, and it makes it convenient and easy to schedule the delivery of a new Kenworth or Hino truck. Just a quick note regarding the repairs you folks made to our truck box. I made sure all of our administrative team went out and checked out the job you did. EVERYONE was very impressed. I had to do a little convincing to get everyone to agree that the best fix would be to take it to the manufacturer of the box in the first place. Some wanted to take care of the problem somewhere closer to home. The other thing I wanted to commend you and your company on was how truly refreshing it was to work with people who went about their work in such a professional manner. The world’s smallest recessed LED clearance lights plus a sealed wire harness with a return ground wire result in the most damage resistant, reliable clearance/marker lights in the industry.
Heavy duty cast aluminum upper corner caps offer superior impact resistance. These caps add structural integrity to our front assembly; they don’t just cover the hole. Our caps also overlap all mating surfaces making replacement easy and fast.
Extruded aluminum front corner posts provide superior impact resistance and a strong structural attachment to the side assemblies for a stiffer, stronger front end.
5 front vertical stiffeners plus 2 stiffeners integrated into the extruded corner posts provide a rigid front end whether you are heading into the wind or restraining a load from the inside.
Our 12" extruded aluminum front radius provides the stiffest, most impact resistant, and most aerodynamic front radius in the industry. Put a Brown Cargo Van body next to another brand after both have been in service for 5 years and you will see the advantage that using an extrusion has over a rolled piece of skin.
All Brown Cargo Vans use a consistent 2” rivet pattern on the sides and front for drum tight construction. Our sides and front are manufactured on a state of the art automated machine that punches the holes, feeds the rivets, and sets the rivets in one action.
Even the best paint job will chip and flake from use and abuse through the rear door opening, that’s why all of our rear frames are stainless steel – standard.
Vehicles that need to withstand severe forklift loading are built with 7 gauge steel reinforcement in the drain threshold bottom plate.
1-1/8” laminated domestic oak flooring is standard. We have learned that imported floors are not as durable as oak and therefore tend to gouge easier. Furthermore, our domestic oak floor is harvested from sustainable forests and is FSC certified.
